1st day of Motorcycle class

I attended the first day of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Basic Riders Course. After lunch we went out on the "Range" which was an area of old runway with lines painted on it. I had a Kawasaki enduro bike, which was the tallest one there. We ended up getting comfortable enough to take it up to third gear when we drove them back to the shed. It was damn hot out there, but it didn't feel so bad after getting used to the heat.

Did you find the class difficult or tiring at all? As far as the heat goes, it gets much easier to tolerate when you aren't just sitting around doing 5-15mph. Of course, summer-type gear helps too. Jeans seem to be sweat magnets!

I was getting pretty worn out by 5pm, but I think it was because I was getting dehydrated. I wore a longsleeve shirt with Underarmor heatgear and jeans. The jeans did hold on the sweat really well. I think I might wear some of my old army running pants tommorrow, they are supposed to be moisture wicking.

One of the instructors has a Hayabusa 1300, a real monster.
